Deze website is in het leven geroepen als manier om mensen te informeren over de geluids-overlast die soms vanaf het BP Tankstation aan de Provinciale weg 6 af komt.
Bewoners in de aanliggende wijken in Amsterdam Zuidoost en Diemen zullen inmiddels wel bekend zijn met de soort geluids-overlast die, vooral op de late avond, op warme zomer-dagen, vanaf het terrein afkomt.
Het gaat hier dan soms over mensen die gebruik maken van de was-boxen; maar veel vaker lijkt de overlast afkomstig van een klein aantal , veelal bekende, bezoekers die zeer luid muziek afspelen vanuit hun auto(s).
Deze website is er om deze overlast te documenteren, mensen te informeren, en als hulp om met de gemeente(n), de BP en andere belanghebbenden in dialoog te gaan over het probleem en de mogelijke oplossingen.

This website has been set up as a way to inform people about the noise-pollution which at times occurs from the terrain of the BP Gas-Station on the Provinciale Weg 6.
People living in the neighboring areas surrounding the gas-station in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost and Diemen will likely be familiar with the periods of loud music and vehicle (motorbike) noise; typically late in the evening and often on the warmer summer-days.
Sometimes the noise comes from people who play music while washing their car; but the majority of the time it seems to be a small group of (well-)known visitors who park their cars at the gas-station and play music very loudly from their car stereo systems.
This website is there to inform and document about this issue as well as function as a tool to have a dialog between the municipality/municipalities, the BP and other stake-holders and come to an approach towards eliminating this kind of noise from keeping people sleeping or just simply enjoying sitting outside.
